Building a Minimalist Skincare Routine That Actually Works

Most skin concerns we treat at the clinic don't begin with a missing ingredient — they begin with too many. A simple, consistent routine outperforms a complicated one every time.

The four essentials

A gentle cleanser, a hydrating serum (look for hyaluronic acid or panthenol), a moisturizer suited to your skin type, and broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning. That's it. Everything else is targeted treatment.

Introduce actives slowly

Retinoids and exfoliating acids are powerful, but stacking them too quickly compromises the skin barrier. Add one active at a time and give it four weeks before judging results.

Sunscreen is non-negotiable

In Islamabad's climate, UV exposure is the single biggest driver of pigmentation and premature aging. A well-formulated SPF — reapplied through the day — is the most effective anti-ageing product you'll ever buy.
